Hello! I apologize for the very late Music Monday post.
My family was in Vegas for Thanksgiving weekend, and my mom and I went to see Cirque de Soleil's Beatles Love show. It was one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life. That's no exaggeration. It was nightmarish and dreamy and the music was, of course, amazing. I highly, highly recommend it. So, this Music Monday isn't inspired by just one song; it's a tribute to The Beatles and all the amazing music they made.
I left the show feeling loved and wanting to love everybody.
Look how cute the ushers were dressed!
The ceiling was quite fun to look at.
I had changed out of this button down into a Beatles t-shirt. I just love the look of UK telephone booths. Why don't US telephone booths look this cool?
I want this wall in my room.
The most punk rock flag ever.
This was behind the wall with the purple song names.
John, Paul, George, and Ringo, you have made my life all the more beautiful. Thank you. Thank you so much.

My mom, my sister, and I have a deep love for Paris. Our house is teeming with Eiffel Towers galore. I thought I would share some of my favorite pieces with you today.
"In an old house in Paris that was covered in vines
Lived twelve little girls in two straight lines."
"I love Paris in the springtime
I love Paris in the fall
I love Paris in the winter, when it drizzles
I love Paris in the summer, when it sizzles."
I haven't gotten the chance to wear this dress yet, but I absolutely love it!
The pattern is to die for.
This is an antique perfume bottle that somebody found and decorated!
Down below are two pairs of TOMS that my mom got hand painted. Here is the first pair:
But the second pair makes me swoon:
Oh, Audrey, you are terribly wise.
I hope your Thanksgiving is c'est magnifique!

This week's song is "I Want Candy"! Tons of artists have covered the song, but my favorite version is by Bow Wow Wow. It's prominently featured in Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette, so I just had to break out my "Let Me Eat Cake" t-shirt for my outfit! The song is certainly not a work of lyrical genius, but it is just fun to dance and sing along to.
"I know a guy who's tough but sweet
He's so fine, he can't be beat
He's got everything that I desire
Sets the summer sun on fire...
I WANT CANDY
I WANT CANDY...
Got to see him when the sun goes down
Ain't no finer boy in town
You're my guy, just what the doctor ordered
So sweet, you make my mouth water...
I WANT CANDY
I WANT CANDY...
Candy on the beach, there's nothing better
But I like candy when it's wrapped in a sweater
Someday soon I'll make you mine
Then I'll have candy all the time!"
Now I want some candy.

Today's book is part of Michael Scott's The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series. It is excellent, involving famous (and infamous) historical figures that are immortal, serving mysterious gods that existed long before the human race. Two human twins named Josh and Sophie get involved, and chaos ensues. The series is dark and exciting and twisted and exhilarating.
These shoes I found at a vintage store in Vancouver compliment the awesome cover art very well:
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand."
